Jay Chou came and went on 12/21/08...
... and he gave us a great concert! So excited even though now it's over... so much energy and passion at his concert man, I'm like wow! His songs have always been good, and when he sings "Rice Fagrance" I was so touched (it's a Chinese thing, hehe). And I was sooo pumped when he go with the fast songs, like Fearless. I swear everybody stood up and jump and down or whatever. There were so many great songs performed. The biggest thing is he got stars like Jacky Cheung, Chow Yun Fat, and Jet Li to tape a segment for him. Jacky sang on screen! Jet Li spoke glowingly about Fearless (both the movie and the song), and I'm like how do you top this? But then he started performing Fearless the song and urge us to stand up and pump our fists or whatever... it was just so much energy in the room. It's that alive feeling... so great.
and this is just the short version... I will edit later for the long version... stay tuned. =)

You just never know what's gonna happen in life, do you?
It's been a while since my last blog... I've grown another half year since then! Anyways, a Xanga friend that I thought I lost actually looked me up! I was surprised, but pleasantly surprised. She hadn't forgotten me after all hehe... I guess that's one of life's little pleasures.

Gotten to a point of life where every direction is a fork road: whether to go to school, whether to change jobs, whether to invest my money on so and so, whether to be single or attached and with who...
You know, no one ever tells you that life only gets more complicated as you grow up when you're a kid.

see relatedEverybody Is Kung-Fu Fighting... On My Birthday
Finally, another update!
It was my birthday a couple weeks ago, so my sister, who lives and works in LI year-round, and I went to Chinatown to hang out and have lunch. We picked this place (which shall remain nameless) on Mott St (which is next to the garage... oops, hehe, now you know which one) for lunch, which is pretty nice and possibly the only restaurant in CT that has empty seats during the Sunday Lunch Crunch. Soon after we sat down, as we browse the menu, a waiter and a waittress got into an argument over the waiter keep using foul language on her. The argument got pretty heated, and I'm pretty sure the waittress attempted the first blow (you read the tiltle right?). They both swung some fists of fury (sorry, but I can't resist
) before being restrained. By Judge Simon's count, the waittress won the fight, scoring a narrow 117-115 victory. After lunch, we went DVD shopping, I picked up a dining-table talk-show series, Be My Guest. (I love the Kelly episode) Then went went to Mei Lai Wah, a diner, to pick up pork buns. Waited like 40 minutes, and the crowd was right at the narrow door. I guess the buns were that good... I like it, but I'm not sure I wanna be crunched for 40 minutes for pork buns very often.
Fast Forward To The Next Saturday...
My friends gave me a belated birthday celebration (translate: a regular hanging out with a bunch of people) the following saturday. We went to this place a friend of a friend works. It's called AJA, on Sixth Ave between 9 and 10 streets. When you walk in, you can already feel the great atmosphere. Very nice decor, which doesn't attempt to hide the fact that they're really trying to cater to the hip crowd hanging out at the Village (I mean, seriously, a sitting Buddha being lavished with money on its lap?). Instead of traditional round or square tables, we sat at tis long table... made up of a number of small square tables. Anyways, it also has a bar (again, the hip Village crowd thing), and an open air sushi bar. The food were nice, taste pretty good, great presentation. I ordered a stone-grill dinner w/chicken (Kobe beef is just too expensive @ $50). Basically, you do your own cooking, bt they do give you a sauce. It was a very nice experience for me, but even @ $14 I feel the portion is a little light for guys, probably just right for girls. The only blemish is that my friends invited their friends, and some of them just aren't that interested in making new friends, so kinda feel like two groups of people sitting at the same table. Oh, wells, can't have everything.

Can't Buy My Love
By Yui
see relatedHa, no entries for four months...
How about that?
More evidence I am a lucky man: Able to walk away from a car crash.
More evidence I will never be rich: I just might fix my car, again. Why don't I just buy a new car already?
Oh, that's right, I could get into a car crash.
Oh wells.
I just might hate myself in the morning.

Tonight, it still hasn't sunk in yet.
